The only reason we say "they should not be used for feature patios" is because of differential weathering due to a high cement content. In essence, this means the colour may fade and become patchy. It is nothing to do with strength or durability. All manufacturers will say this about pressed slabs as opposed to wet cast products which are more expensive.
